The Artistic Society of The 4th Wall – Inaugural Meeting
The first meeting of The Artistic Society of The 4th Wall was held on May 26th, 2011.
We gathered at The 4th Wall after 6pm, and once introductions were made, a general discussion about what we each were looking for from this type of group took place.
Several members look forward to feedback on their various creative projects, other were looking to learn more about comics as a whole, and still other were simply excited to have a creative meeting place and monthly “deadline” to get their ideas out onto paper.
It is a diverse group, with artists, writers, webcomic creators and a few new fans of comics just looking to learn more about the medium.

We’ve been talking about it for a while, and with summer just around the bend what better time to unleash The Artistic Society of The 4th Wall!
The Artistic Society is a group of artists, writers and other creative types meeting monthly at The 4th Wall. The purpose of the group is to nurture and grow each others ideas and talents in a fun, non-judgmental environment. By that we simply mean that no matter your style, skill or experience level, you are welcome to join and enjoy the benefits of the skills and ideas of others in the group.

It’s that time of year again! The weather is warm(er) the sun is shining (kinda) and FREE COMIC BOOK DAY IS UPON US
Saturday May 7th, from 10am-5pm, The 4th Wall will be having it’s Free Comic Book Day Celebration! We’ll have guest artists and writers, fun contests and of course FREE COMICS!

Blank Cover Comic Book Show Is Coming To An End!
Well friends, what they say is true: All good things must come to an end.
With that, I’m pleased to announce that The 4th Wall’s first Blank Cover Comic Book Art Show has been a rousing success! We’ve had some fantastic submissions from professional and semi-pro artists alike, and now it’s time to bring it to a close.
Bidding will continue right up until 5pm Feb 20th, so there is still plenty of time to come on down to the shop and check out some of the fantastic art that’s been submitted!
But that’s not all!

The 4th Wall’s Blank Cover Comic Book Art Show!
They say never judge a book by its cover. At The 4th Wall, however, we think that’s exactly what you should do. Especially when YOU design that cover.
An emerging trend in comics over the past couple years has been the “Blank” variant cover. The idea behind the “Blank” variant is that you could take the book to a convention and have your favourite artist sketch on it, or sketch a custom cover yourself. Over the past year, we have collected several “Blank” cover variant issues for some of the biggest books and, well, you are our favourite artists here at The 4th Wall, so we want you to sketch on our books for The 4th Wall’s Blank Cover Comic Book Art Show!

Assassin’s Creed comes to The 4th Wall!!
Gamers and Comics fans Unite! Asassins Creed is coming to The 4th Wall!
The 4th Wall is proud to announce that Saturday, November 20th from 12pm-4pm, Karl Kerschl (Teen Titans Year One, The Abominable Charles Christopher) and Cameron Stewart (Batman & Robin, Sin Titulo), The team behind DC Comics Assassin’s Creed: The Fall will be guests of The 4th Wall to sign copies of their hit series!
We will have plenty of copies of Issue #1, so this is a great time to jump into comics about one of the most storied gaming franchises of all time, done by two of the hottest creators in the business!*
*by that I mean artistically. Although, come to think of it, they are pretty easy on the eyes too…
Montreal Charity Comicon
Hey all, it’s not often we get a chance to get together, talk comics, geek out AND help someone out in the process. So, with that said, I want to tell you about the Montreal Charity Comicon.
It’s taking place Nov 13-14, 2010 at the Pointe-Claire Holiday Inn, which is conveniently located right across the street from The 4th Wall! It’ll be a great gathering of comic book enthusiasts with special guests, lots of great books to rifle through, and the best part is that 50% of the proceeds go towards pediatric oncology, which in laymans terms means Kids with Cancer.
